【與其留住姚松炎，何不讓我們都成為姚松炎】
建測規園界立法會議席，一直受建制壟斷，我們曾以為這是注定的命運。直到2014年政改爭議，開始意識到界別內不是只為工作，原來亦有不少人關心政治、追求民主制度，並在關鍵時刻堅守原則，向不公義說不。
2016年立法會換屆，喜見雨傘運動後姚教授身體力行，挑戰被建制派壟斷多年的建測規園議席。我們當中不少也參與了姚教授助選團，從不被看好到成功取勝，一直同行。姚教授當選後，我們亦鼓起勇氣參選選委，最後亦成功全隊當選，再一次在建制票倉翻盤。
及後面對無理釋法、議席被粗暴禠奪、打壓不斷，但姚教授從未灰心退縮。今天，姚教授考慮到民主派地區議席形勢險峻，挺身而出，積極考慮走向地區直選的領域，希望以此團結民主力量，我們心懷尊重與支持。這教曉我們更加不要退縮，要繼續堅守建測規園陣地。
姚教授當選議員以來，用專業知識監察政府工程撥款、為政府施政進言、提高議會議政水平，在公眾心中得到相當高的評價。教授為我們展現了以往此界別議員從未展現過的魄力和熱誠，在廣大市民心中提升界別形象，令我們與有榮焉。但是，與其留住一個姚松炎，何不讓我們都成為姚松炎，繼承他無懼歌利亞的精神，致力以專業創造更美好的香港。
【We Need More Than One EY】
The Legislative Council representation for the Architectural, Surveying, Planning and Landscape Functional Constituency had for long been monopolized by the pro-establishment camp.
We used to think that this was our fate. Until the 2014 controversy over political reforms, when voters started to look beyond their constituency by focusing on the society as a whole. More people than ever became concerned over politics and the pursuit of democracy. At that critical juncture they stuck to the principles of justice.
In 2016, following the umbrella movement, Dr. Edward Yiu challenged the establishment which had occupied the LegCo seat for so many years. CoVision members joined the election campaign and the win encouraged us. We joined the EC election and succeeded. Once again, we were supported by our professional constituents.
With an unreasonable interpretation of the law the seat was lost. But Dr. Edward Yiu stayed on course. With the danger of democrats losing seats in the Geographical Constituencies, Dr. Edward Yiu stepped forward and is actively considering joining the direct elections. He hopes that this will unite the democratic forces. We respect and support his decision. This gives us a new task and focus for our functional constituency.
Since being elected as a member of Legco, Dr. Edward Yiu applied his professional insights to monitor funding applications for government projects, pursue improved public governance, and raise the level of parliamentary political standards. Dr. Edward Yiu has shown us a level of courage and enthusiasm which had been long lost in our constituencies. He raised the profile of the entire professional community in the minds of the general public.
But we need more than one EY. We should all become EY, believe in the spirit of David challenging Goliath, and devote our professional knowledge to creating a better Hong Kong.
